As a club supporting and representing female students from all tech-related studies, we are always seeking ideas about building an inspirational community to engage and support one another. So we ask our participants to brainstorm and create functional software that can empower people, and do more!
The Hackathon will begin Friday at 6 pm and end on Sunday at 6 pm(September 24 - September 26) during Mid-semester break. It runs online for 48 hours. Three to four workshops including ideation, pitching, UI, and Q&A will be held to assist our participants. In addition, mentors from Google, Atlassian, and Two Bulls will be around for 2-3 hours every day. Participants could book their time and then ask for help.
The prizes would be 5 Google Nest Minis (sponsored by Google), 1000 dollar prize pool, and the opportunity to connect with some of our sponsors.
Participants will be mainly from the University of Melbourne, working in a team of 3-5. They can have their own pre-made teams, forming teams on discord or on the first day of our Hackathon.
Since this is an online event, we will mainly use Zoom, Discord to communicate, and Devpost to hand in final products.
Currently, we have 8 judges/mentors from Google, Atlassian, and Two Bulls.
